Break Details

Myrtle Beach Ocean Lakes is an exposed beachbreak running along nearly one mile of oceanfront at the southern end of Myrtle Beach. According to surf-forecast.com, this break has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of year. The best swell direction is from the southwest with northeast offshore winds, and the beach breaks tend to produce lefts. The long stretch of uncrowded beach gives surfers plenty of room to spread out and find their own peak. Like all of the Grand Strand, conditions are hit or miss depending on swell angle, wind, and tide, but the open and exposed coastline here picks up swells well.

Best conditions: Southwest swell, northeast offshore winds, any tide, summer and fall
