Myrtle Beach 29th Ave South is one of the most well-known surf spots on the Grand Strand and one of the few designated legal surf zones in the city of Myrtle Beach during summer months. Surfline calls out 29th Avenue as producing better surf than most of Myrtle Beach, particularly on a south swell, with fun scattered peaks that form good sandbars and wedging waves during moderate swells. The break is suitable for all levels and offers a year-round surfing window. Note that like all of Myrtle Beach, conditions here are hit or miss and depend on swell angle, wind, and tide — but when it's on, this is one of the better options in town.
