Ocean Dr Beach sits in the heart of North Myrtle Beach, historically known as the Shag Capital of the World. The beachbreak here works on a variety of swells and produces scattered peaks ideal for all levels. Like most of the Grand Strand, the best conditions come with southeast or northeast swells and northwest offshore winds. The beach is wide and accessible with a lively boardwalk atmosphere. Fall and early spring produce the most consistent clean surf.
